Amanda Adkins, Republican for Congress, RaisesOver a Half-Million Dollars in 2019

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Amanda Adkins, Republican candidate for US Congress in Kansas’ Third Congressional Districted announced her campaign raised over $200,000 in the fourth quarter, bringing her total campaign contributions since she announced on September 9, 2019 to over a half-million dollars. Of the total raised, 60% is from the greater Kansas City area through hundreds of individual contributors.

“Amanda is clearly the front-runner in this campaign,” said Charlie Tetrick, Adkins for Congress Finance Committee Member. “The momentum we see going into 2020 makes Amanda the prevailing candidate for Kansas’ Third Congressional District,” Tetrick said.

Adkins is currently Vice President for Strategic Growth at Cerner Corporation, Kansas City’s largest employer and a global leader in healthcare innovation. She is the former chairwoman of the Kansas Republican Party, where she achieved unprecedented election success while serving two terms from 2009-2013. She is a co-founder of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Excellence in Public Service Series whose mission is to prepare Republican women to seek greater involvement in leadership, government and politics. Adkins also founded the Systems of Care Initiative (SOCI) a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aligns business leaders with high-performance organizations dedicated to improving school readiness for young children.

Adkins graduated from the University of Kansas in 1998 and has lived in Overland Park for the past 17 years. She and her husband, Jason, have been married 20 years and have two children.
